If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel this summer (May 26th – September 8th), admission to one of Disney’s water parks is included on your check-in day! This free perk is one to take advantage of, especially as temperatures continue to heat up in Orlando. Both Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are open for the summer and offer unique waterslides, a wave pool, and lazy river options for families.
If you’re headed to either water park, there are some great options for snacks and treats that you won’t find inside the four main theme parks. While we tried all of these options at Blizzard Beach, all three are also available at Typhoon Lagoon. Check out three exciting menu items you’ll want to try this summer!

1. Elote Pork Nachos – Warming Hut
The Warming Hut is located near the Melt-Away Bay wave pool and is a quick-service restaurant that offers Mobile Order. The menu includes sandwiches, a salad, and Mickey ice cream bars. There are also shaded picnic tables nearby with a view of the Cross Country Creek lazy river.
If you’re visiting Typhoon Lagoon, you can find the Elote Pork Nachos at Leaning Palms.

Elote Nachos with Pork – roasted pork, elote cheese sauce, guacamole, sour cream, roasted corn, jalapeรฑos, and pico de gallo – $12.99
The Elote Nachos are loaded with toppings and are super filling. The smoky pork is a great pairing with the creamy elote cheese sauce. You can eat these as a filling lunch or as a shareable snack. These might just be some of the best nachos at Disney World!

2. Sand Pail Sundae – IC Expeditions
IC Expeditions is near the Ski Patrol Training Camp and offers soft serve ice cream, sundaes, and hand-dipped Mickey’s Premium Bars. This walk-up location does not offer Mobile Order and tends to have longer lines – because who doesn’t want ice cream on a sunny water park day?

Sand Pail Sundae –vanilla and chocolate swirl soft-serve, vanilla cake, cookies and cream pieces, hot fudge, caramel sauce, whipped cream, M&M’s milk chocolate candies, and a cherry, served in an exclusive souvenir sand pail bucket – $18.29
The novelty of this bucket and the presentation makes it hard to pass up! In addition to it being a fun souvenir, the bucket could easily serve 2 – 4 people, making it a decent value for families. The bottom layer of vanilla cake, Oreos, and hot fudge really takes this to the next level and is best when you can get a bite of everything.
The Sand Pail Sundae has become quite the staple at Disney Water Parks – you can also find it at Typhoon Lagoon at Happy Landings Ice Cream.

3. Souvenir Refillable Beer Mug – Frostbite Freddy’s
You can purchase these refillable beer mugs anywhere draft beer is served at either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. The souvenir cups feature both water parks’ logos and come in different colors depending on the day of your visit. The best part of all, your refills are around $5 cheaper!
Some of the draft beers we saw available – Bud Light, Yuengling Traditional Lager, Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, and Lexington Brewing’s Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale.
